- Implement informed consent procedures that fully notify patients about insurance issues and financial responsibilities at the start of treatment.
- Execute accurate billing practices to ensure compliance with insurance company requirements and professional standards.
- Identify common reasons for insurance record requests and audits.
- Respond to records requests and insurance audits effectively while maintaining adherence to state and federal confidentiality laws, such as HIPAA.
