Presented by:
Ellen Speert, ATR-BC, REAT is director of the California Center for Creative Renewal, a therapeutic retreat center based on our connection to nature and specializing in creativity, women’s issues, spirituality and loss since 1981. Ellen has been invited to present workshops all over the world, from Paris to Istanbul, from Lima to Helsinki. She is past president of the San Diego Art Therapy Association and active with the American Art Therapy Association as well as the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association.
For over 40 years, Ms Speert has been involved in the field of Art Therapy, conducting workshops nationally and internationally and publishing professional journal articles. She has designed and directed postgraduate art therapy programs at UCSD Extension and National University, and has provided training and supervision to therapists throughout the US and in Europe, Asia and South America.
Her work has appeared in many newspapers, magazines, on radio and TV, and she has won numerous awards as a public speaker. Ms. Speert is an exhibiting artist and avid gardener.
