November Private Practice SIG

  • Saturday, November 02, 2019
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Cardiff-by-the-Sea Branch Library, 2081 Newcastle Ave, Cardiff, CA 92007

The purpose of the SDNC-CAMFT Private Practice SIG is to provide a forum where those who own or manage a business that provides mental health and psychotherapy services to the community can discuss issues and concerns about operating their business. Topics for discussion include (but are not limited to) managing your client records and business income with software, maintaining a paperless practice, financial management and tax considerations, efficient methods of scheduling clients and calendaring, using health insurance to generate client referrals and income, and using forms and assessment tools to efficiently document client contacts. The SIG is open to all mental health practitioners, both licensed and pre-licensed, CAMFT members and non-members. No RSVP is necessary--just show up. Anyone coming to a meeting has walked away having learned something new!

Leader: Ryan Buchmann, MA, MFT, CADC-II; rdbuchmann@gmail.com

Meeting Theme: The theme for this upcoming meeting will be records, recordkeeping, and note management. What do you keep with your client's records (audio, images, documents, texts)? How much time do you spend taking notes? What do you include in your session notes? Bring your ideas for discussion and conversation! See you then!
