LIVE EVENT

FRIDAY, June 2, 2023

9am-12pm

Pine Avenue Community Center

3209 Harding Street,

Carlsbad, CA 92008

This interactive workshop will provide vocabulary, including definitions of specific identities and concepts, such as gender dysphoria. The function, meaning, and importance of transitioning will be emphasized, as well as implications for mental health providers and specific ways to support clients who are seeking gender exploration or medical transitioning. A significant portion of the time will be spent discussing the material throughout the workshop, especially guided by audience members' questions. The presenter will share some of their own transition journey as well.

presented by

Georgie Kelley, LPCC

Georgie Kelly, LPCC (they/them) is a nonbinary mental health provider who has worked almost exclusively with trans, non-binary, and gender questioning individuals for over 7 years. Georgie also has experience working with dissociative parts and systems. They are firmly sex-positive, polyamory-friendly, and kink-aware. Their therapeutic approach is humanistic, client-centered, and trauma-informed, including the use of EMDR. Educating others on how to support trans and nonbinary clients is a passion of Georgie's, in addition to sitting with clients to join them on their journey, wherever that may take them. Georgie can be found online at JoinOnYourJourney.com
